While we paused regular publication of the site on September 15, 2017, and transitioned some of our coverage to Oceans Deeply, we are happy to serve as an ongoing public resource on the Arctic. Jan-Gunnar Winther and Gunn Sissel Jaklin Director, Norwegian Polar Institute

Jan-Gunnar Winther is the director of the Norwegian Polar Institute. He holds a PhD in hydrology, and has served on a number of committees and delegations including lead author on the IPCC’s fifth assessment report, and is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on the Arctic. Gunn Sissel Jaklin is the Institute’s communications director. She has a background in tourism, diplomacy and local politics.
