While we paused regular publication of the site on May 15, 2018, and transitioned some of our coverage to Peacebuilding Deeply, we are happy to serve as an ongoing public resource on the Syrian conflict. Abdulrahman has a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Aleppo. He is currently based in Gaziantep, working for a Syrian NGO. He asked for his last name not to be revealed for security reasons.

As efforts to establish a no-fly zone or implement humanitarian aid drops for Eastern Aleppo are continuously shut down, University of Aleppo engineering graduates Abdulrahman and Amr Shayah urge the deployment of steerable parachutes to safely drop much-needed aid and medical supplies.
