In the city of Manbij, Human Rights Watch has documented the deaths of 69 civilians, including 19 children, killed by victim-activated, homemade explosives, which are banned under international law.
Victims, witnesses and locals interviewed by Human Rights Watch say that in spring 2016, Turkish border guards used violence against Syrian asylum seekers and smugglers, killing five people, including a child, and seriously injuring 14 others.
Syrian government and some opposition forces are preventing the delivery of humanitarian assistance to hundreds of thousands of civilians in areas under siege in Syria, Human Rights Watch said today.
