Cindy Wallis-Lage is president of Black & Veatch’s Water Business, leading the company’s efforts to address billions of dollars in water infrastructure needs around the world. Wallis-Lage joined the company in 1987 and has provided technical and management leadership expertise to more than 100 projects worldwide. Wallis-Lage joined the Black & Veatch Board of Directors in 2012 and is currently on the Board of Directors for the US Water Alliance.

World Water Day provides a reminder of how vulnerable water supply is in many places across the world, including California. But an increased focus on water infrastructure resiliency can help sustain a finite water supply even as population growth and climate change add additional pressures.
