Video: Saving Lives by Bringing U.K. Skills to Ghana’s Young Surgeons

While his two breast cancer clinics help women in Ghana access lifesaving healthcare, Dr. Paul Ofori-Atta’s charity, MOTEC-Life, gives young Ghanaian surgeons access to some of the U.K.’s best doctors, so they can use their new skills to treat children back home.

Ghanaian surgeon Dr. Paul Ofori-Atta is helping transform the country’s health service, with a focus on children’s health and breast cancer care. As founder of the charity MOTEC-Life, he brings the best British surgeons to Ghana twice a year to train Ghanaian surgeons, and takes Ghana’s best young surgeons to the U.K. so they can train there for two years before bringing their new skills back home.
