Millions of girls are kept out of school worldwide. Why? The reasons are many: from patriarchal attitudes to conflict and famine, lack of sanitation and early motherhood. We examine what is stopping girls from getting the schooling they deserve, how to bring girls into the classroom and keep them there, and why we all benefit from equal education.
