The percentage of women in political power has nearly doubled globally over the past 20 years. But equal representation is still an issue in most of the world, with women making up only 22 percent of all parliamentarians. We speak to women in government who are fighting for change from the inside, and follow the work of policymakers as they pass and repeal laws that specifically affect women, from bans on contraception to improvements in reporting rape.
